Embroidered notebook

Small blank notebook. France, 19th century. Size 7,5 x 11,5 cm.

Notebook with circa 20 blank sheets in a pink silk moirée binding and with all edges gilt. It is bound into a green velvet binding with gold printed decorations and an embroidered cut-out.
Endpapers are the same pink moirée silk as the booklet and with a pocket for holding cards etc. on the inside of the front cover.
With stylus inserted. Charming green velvet binding with a cut-out in the middle of the front and back cover that holds two embroideries in tiny cross stitches.
The front cover shows a garland with pink flowers and the initials E.L. The back cover shows a bouquet.
